The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is a mid-size, dual aisle, twin-engine jet. It was designed to be a more fuel-efficient replacement for similar-sized commercial aircraft. The primary structure is constructed from 50% composite materials, including the fuselage and wings. Measuring 206 feet long by 56 feet high, with a 197-foot wingspan, it can reach a speed of 593mph and fly as high as 43,000 feet. In September 2016, Aeroméxico received its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The interior features spacious cabins, larger windows than most airliners providing bigger views, and can seat between 216 to 296 passengers. For its 90th anniversary, its new livery features a redesign of the Caballero Águila, the Aztec Eagle Warrior from its Mexican heritage, adorning the aircraft's tail fin.
