We have been an authorized retailer of scale diecast aircraft since 2012. Every model we list comes straight from the manufacturer or its official distributor, never from the gray market.
Authorized, not resold
Direct accounts with the manufacturers
Being an authorized retailer means we hold direct accounts with the brands we carry. That has three practical benefits for you: allocations arrive on release day instead of weeks later, every model is a first-run factory piece with its original packaging, and warranty or defect claims go straight back to the manufacturer through us.
If a model is listed here, it is genuine. We do not buy secondhand inventory or repackaged stock to fill gaps.

This is not a general merchandise shop that happens to stock airplanes. Diecast Airplane Store is owned and operated by a current airline captain, which is why our listings get the details right: the correct registration, the right livery variant, the engine and winglet configuration, and whether a release is actually a new mold or a retooled repaint.
When you email us with a question about a tail number or a production run, you are talking to someone who knows the aircraft.
Getting it to you intact
Packed for the model, not for the box
Diecast models are fragile in specific, predictable ways: gear legs, antennas, and wingtips. We ship using a box-in-box system so the manufacturer's packaging arrives as clean as the model inside it, which matters if you display in original boxes or ever resell. Collector-grade condition is the standard, not an upgrade.
How we work
Pre-orders, allocations, and honest dates
Much of this hobby runs on pre-orders, and manufacturer release dates move. We publish the ETA we actually have and update it when the factory changes it. Pre-orders are paid in full at checkout, which is how your allocation is held, and you can cancel for a full refund at any point before the model ships. If an allocation gets cut, we tell you rather than letting the order sit.
